There are a host of things that you can do in and around Coorg, depending on your interests. If you are an animal lover, the first thing to check off your list is a visit to the Dubare Elephant Camp, which is located some 40.4 kms from the resort (1 hour drive time).

  Another option for wildlife enthusiasts is a visit the Nagarhole National Park, located in Kabini, which is 79.4 kms from the resort (drive time: 2 hours). It became popular in the recent times, due to the presence of a male black panther. Its colour comes from a surplus of melanin that is caused due to the presence of a specific gene.    For real tourist downtime, head to Raja’s Seat (40.5 kms from the resort, 1 hour drive time)  – where a bygone era of Coorgi kings watched the sun set – and the Madikeri Fort (located only one km from Raja’s Seat),  which was rebuilt in its granite form by Tipu Sultan. You can also trek up to Pushpagiri, which is the highest peak in the district.
